Cula Meta-Learning
Learning how to learn is a superpower because it develops metalearning: the ability to understand, manage, and improve one’s own learning process.
Cula Meta-Learning is a collection of simple, game-like tools that help students discover their own ways of understanding, remembering, and applying the knowledge their teachers impart.
The flagship tool in the ׳Cula Meta-Learning׳
In the upcoming school year, the flagship tool “Cula Alpha” will be integrated into the curricula at the “G-LAB" regional innovation center - An initiative of the Ministry of Education and the northern regional councils that aims to bridge educational gaps in outlying areas and expose more students to the BAGRU-TECH and STEAM fields through innovative learning programs.

Cula Alpha
How Do You Know When a Student Truly Understands?
When they can explain the subject in their own words.
Sometimes the understanding is already there, but the student does not yet know how to express it clearly.
Cula Alpha helps turn that personal understanding into simple words.
What Is Cula Alpha?
Cula Alpha helps students understand by teaching.
It uses a simple, playful, AI-supported conversation. The system reflects how each student personally understands a subject and helps them find simple words and images to explain it to others.
At every stage, the student receives three possible ways to express their understanding. These options are created from the choices they made earlier.
The student chooses the option closest to what they think and feel. Each choice makes their understanding clearer.
The student does not start with an empty page or receive a ready-made answer. They recognize what they already understand and develop it step by step.
The process follows fixed stages inspired by education, psychology, and philosophy.
The Problem and the Solution
Teaching and learning skills in the AI era
TCula Meta-Learning’s solution:
From memorization to understanding: Using AI tools to apply the principle of learning by teaching. Game-like tools allow students to reflect their intuitive understanding, create their own explanation, and teach it to others — deepening their understanding in the process.
The Problem
Teachers use AI to create assignments, and students use it to generate answers. Technology may end up replacing thinking.
Teacher–student relationships
Cula Meta-Learning’s solution:
Learning through dialogue: Bringing direct interaction, discussion, and shared learning back into the classroom — through contemporary media that speaks to both sides.
The Problem
Teachers and students are often separated by two generations of different habits in consuming content, processing information, and interpersonal communication. Bridging the gap is difficult.
Independent learning strategies
Cula Meta-Learning’s solution:
Every student is a teacher: Turning personal learning strategies into short, 42-second learning pieces that can be presented, shared, and saved.
The Problem
Students develop their own images, comparisons, and phrases to help them understand and remember — but these often disappear after the test and are never shared with others.
What Changes in the Classroom?
At the end of a short and fun reflection process in Cula Alpha, every student briefly presents the explanation they created.
The teacher does not only check whether the student remembered the correct answer.
The teacher can see how the student understands the subject, what they chose to emphasize, and how they explain it.
Presenting their work encourages students to create an explanation that truly represents their thinking.
It also exposes the class to different ways of understanding the same subject.
The presentation becomes a moment of shared learning, communication, and understanding-based assessment.
The Vision
Every Student Is Also a Teacher.
When students can explain an idea in their own unique way, they are not simply showing what they know.
They develop understanding, confidence, and the ability to learn independently.
Their way of understanding may also help others.
Students who create clear and engaging explanations through Cula Alpha can become the educational influencers of tomorrow.
Why Does Cula Alpha Need AI?
AI does not create understanding for the student.
Its role is to make a personal conversation possible with every student while keeping the same learning process.
At each stage, the AI uses the student’s previous choices to create three new options. All three are correct, but each reflects a different way of thinking.
The student chooses the option that feels closest to their own understanding.
This allows the whole class to follow the same method while every student follows a personal path.
The Value for Schools
Better Communication
Presentations create a direct meeting between teachers and students. Students explain, while teachers listen, ask questions, and guide them.
Understanding Instead of Memorizing
Personal processing and the ability to explain help students remember, build confidence, and perform better in tests and presentations.
Better Use of Technology
Technology does not do the work for the student.
It encourages choice, reflection, and independent thinking.
Learning That Keeps Its Value
Students’ explanations can become a classroom or school library of different ways to understand the subjects being taught.
Personal Learning Within One Framework
The entire class follows the same method, while every student develops a personal understanding and creates an individual result.
Protecting Teachers’ Time
Instead of teachers writing and checking individual assignments, more responsibility moves to the students.
The teacher becomes a supportive guide with less effort and workload.

Cula Debate
Understand opposing positions fairly.
Cula Debate presents the strongest version of two or more positions before asking the learner to respond. It develops reasoning, perspective-taking and the ability to distinguish a serious argument from a simplified opponent.

Cula Analalogya
Build analogies for deeper understanding.
The learner develops an analogy connecting a new idea to something familiar. Cula then tests where the analogy works and where it becomes misleading.

Cula Socrates
Understand an idea through careful questions.
Cula Socrates uses Socratic questioning to examine definitions, assumptions, evidence and contradictions. It helps the learner improve their own answer instead of immediately providing one.

Cula Compare and Contrast
Understand something by seeing what it is—and what it is not.
Cula Compare and Contrast places two ideas side by side and identifies their most important similarities and differences.
If the learner provides only one idea, Cula selects a useful contrasting idea to make the original clearer.

Cula Meme
Turn an idea into its smallest shareable form.
Cula Meme transforms an idea into a few words and one strong visual concept. The goal is to make the central idea quickly understood, remembered and shared.
Cula Learning Tools

Cula Visual
Turn an idea into a clear visual explanation.
Cula Visual represents an idea through contrast, sequence, hierarchy, relationship or metaphor. The goal is to reveal the structure of the idea, not simply decorate it.

Cula Test
Check whether understanding is real.
Cula Test changes the example, wording or context and asks the learner to use the same central principle. It identifies whether the learner understands the idea or only remembers the original explanation.

Cula 42
Turn understanding into a clear 42-second explanation.
Cula 42 transforms an idea into a short, memorable teaching script of approximately 120 words. It uses a strong opening, a simple explanation, a connecting analogy and a final anchor that can be spoken, filmed or shared.

Cula Analogi
Generate analogies for an idea.
Cula Analogi creates several different analogies for the same concept using familiar objects, situations and experiences. The learner chooses the analogy that makes the idea easiest to understand.

Cula Richard
Understand something well enough to explain it simply.
Richard The First uses the Feynman Technique:
Explain → Find the gaps → Learn → Explain again
The learner attempts a simple explanation, discovers where understanding becomes unclear, returns to those gaps and tries again. The goal is to expose the difference between recognizing an idea and truly understanding it.

Cula Metacognition
Notice what is happening while you learn.
Cula Metacognition helps the learner plan, monitor and evaluate their understanding during one learning experience. It asks what is clear, where confusion appears and what should change
.

Cula Debate
Understand opposing positions fairly.
Cula Debate presents the strongest version of two or more positions before asking the learner to respond. It develops reasoning, perspective-taking and the ability to distinguish a serious argument from a simplified opponent.

Cula Meme
Turn an idea into its smallest shareable form.
Cula Meme transforms an idea into a few words and one strong visual concept. The goal is to make the central idea quickly understood, remembered and shared.

Cula Analogi Poster
Turn an analogy into a visual explanation.
Cula Analogi Poster takes a chosen analogy and translates it into a minimal visual concept. It creates one central sentence and a clear visual description that can then become a poster.

Cula Metalearning
Learn how to improve the way you learn.
Cula Metalearning compares patterns across different learning experiences and helps the learner develop better strategies. While metacognition examines one learning process, metalearning improves the learner’s broader approach over time.

Cula Sequence
Choose the right learning path for the learner and subject.
Cula Sequence selects an effective learning process according to the learner, the subject and the kind of understanding required.
Every path concludes with:
Three adaptive steps → Anchor → Create

Cula Simple
Reduce an idea to its clearest form.
Cula Simple removes jargon, unnecessary detail and complexity while preserving the central meaning. It progressively simplifies an explanation until the learner can express the core idea clearly.

Cula Compare and Contrast
Understand something by seeing what it is—and what it is not.
Cula Compare and Contrast places two ideas side by side and identifies their most important similarities and differences.
If the learner provides only one idea, Cula selects a useful contrasting idea to make the original clearer.
